Boon ugly deformity, the dog was abandoned and faced the death penalty. But not giving up on fate, that dog still lives with a smile on his lips.

Just because of a rare strange disease, this dog was born with a different deformity and was treated quite cruelly by its handlers.

Cooper is one of only 30 dogs in the world born with rare short spine syndrome . Its vertebrae were fused together at the neck and bottom, making it look like its body was squeezed in half. This 2-year-old dog looks as if it has no neck, and its butt rests on its back. Cooper can’t go to the toilet normally, and every time he wants to look behind him, he has to turn his whole body.

Cooper ‘s disease was caused by inbreeding. He was rescued by animal shelters in the summer of 2017 at a crossbreeding farm in Virginia, when he was just 2 months old. Because he was born deformed, Cooper was abandoned by the owners here because it could not help them earn money.

When he was first rescued, Cooper ‘s condition was pretty bad. Not only is it weak, it also suffers from ticks, worms, and hernias. It couldn’t walk on hard pavement and couldn’t even walk for long. It can only walk on soft surfaces, such as grass and carpet.

Usually with dogs suffering from a serious disease like Cooper , they will be injected with drugs to die. But fortunately the dog was adopted by a family. However, after a while, they also gave up because Cooper was too hyperactive, or chased cats.

Eventually, Cooper was adopted by another family along with their three other dogs. However, bad luck still did not let go of the poor dog . Just a few months after moving to his new home, Cooper fell and broke five bones in his neck. A few months ago, she started showing signs of pain and was found to have osteomyelitis. It also had to be on the operating table to make it easier to go to the bathroom.

Despite his illness, Cooper lived a very happy and optimistic life.

Despite all the adversity and life expectancy probably won’t last, Cooper is still a happy, optimistic and friendly dog. He gets along well with his new family members and cuddles up with the three dogs in the house. Thanks to the love of the kind owners, Cooper is currently living a very happy life.
