The 3.3-meter-long alligator broke into a woman’s home in Clearwater, Florida, at 3 a.m. on May 24 after smashing a window with its snout. Hearing a loud noise, the hostess woke up, went downstairs to check and was shocked to see this reptile.

The woman said the crocodile then broke into the wine cabinet, broke several bottles, damaged the kitchen table and damaged the walls. Fortunately, she was not injured and did not have any pets in the house, so the crocodile had to leave without enjoying a meal of fresh meat.

The hostess called the police and a trap worker came to capture the crocodile and move it to another location.

Experts say the best way to avoid injury when you accidentally see an alligator is to stay away from it. Jack Hanna, of the Columbus Zoo in Ohio, thinks this is at least 12m to 15m, and warns the alligator can easily overtake a person if only more than 6m away.

If the worst happens and if you can’t run away, experts recommend hitting the animal back or poking it in the eye to look for a chance to live.
